| This is a wonderful Chelsea or Grandmother's Ware teacup and saucer made by an unknown Staffordshire, England manufacturer between 1870-1880s. The victorian pattern is actually called Blue Sprig or Chelsea Sprig and this is a rarely seen version of the pattern with floral arrangements in cornucopia baskets as well as sprigs. The pretty cup and saucer set is of white molded ironstone with applied blue floral sprigs. The cup measures 2.25 inches high not including the fancy handle by 3.5 inches in diameter and the saucer is 6 inches in diameter. The tea cup and saucer are in excellent condition with no chips, or cracks and is one of the nicest sets I have had. There are a mineral dust speck or two and an under glaze saucer nick all normal in pieces of this age. A wonderful and very collectible piece. Shipping in the US by USPS priority insured. | ||||||||
