| This is an dainty pair of small victorian hallmarked sterling silver English sugar tongs or sugar nips with spoon ends. This set of small tongs is hallmarked for London, England 1884 with the maker's mark CB and are possible saccharine tongs for the artificial sweetner that was quite popular in the late victorian period until being banned in 1911 as a menace to health. The tongs are 4 inches long and are in excellent condition. | |||||||
