| This is a rare and absolutely fabulous antique victorian porcelain drainer dish with under bowl made by Copelands China Spode works Staffordshire England in the 1890s. The set is 2 inches high and 7.5 in diameter. It is part of a larger wash set and originally had a lid. Many of the pieces of the set didn't survive the trip home from England. Sigh...The drainer dish and under bowl has a gorgeous mottled blue ground on white with butterflies and flowers. They are all heavily trimmed in gold and there is a victorian aesthetic movement or English arts and crafts heavy gold border. The two pieces are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. It is a very rare and beautiful piece from an outstanding manufacturer. Very rarely seen. | |||||||||
