This is a sterling silver teaspoon in the D'Orleans pattern manufactured by Towle Silversmiths, USA 1920-1940. The teaspoon is 6 inches long including a 4.5 inch handle and is clearly marked on the back and there are no monograms. The main floral design is on the front and back. This is a fabulous and difficult to find antique English victorian open salt, salt dip or salt cellar made of silver plated cast metal dating to 1880-1900. We brought it home from England last trip. The open salt is 1.75 inches high and 2 inches wide and features a shell shape dish supported by a dolphin. The dip was cast in 2 pieces and then assembled. The salt dip is marked 3337 and a W. This is a dainty pair of victorian English hallmarked sterling silver sugar tongs, sugar nips or saccharine tongs with spoon ends. This set of small tongs is hallmarked for Birmingham, England 1900 with the maker's mark JG. Saccharine tongs or small sugar tongs were used for the artificial sweetner that was quite popular in the late victorian period until being banned in 1911 as a menace to health. This is a vintage English quilting thimble I brought back recently from England. It is marked England and the number 2 and measures 5/8 inch high by 3/4 inch in diameter at the base. The quilting thimble is made of brass and was silver plated. There is some wear to the plating on the outside, and the inside & bottom rolled rim are the original brass. It is in very good condition and dates from the 1930-1940s. Shipping in the US by USPS first class with tracking is $4.20.
