This is a cute little mottoware cream jug or creamer or milk jug made by Aller Vale England potteries between 1867-1901 when the factory closed. It has the motto Tak A Little Craim and is in very good condition. The creamer measures 2 inches high by 2.5 inches in diameter at the base and 2 inches at the top. This is a neat little vintage toby jug in the ordinary style of a man in 17th century dress with a hat and a drinking mug made in England in the 1920s by Keele Street Pottery or KSP. The ugly cute guy stands (or sits) just under 3 inches tall, is 2.5 inches long to handle back and 2 inches wide. I brought him home from England recently. This is the cutest set. It is motto ware from Torquay, Devon, England although I don't know what factory as it is unmarked. The set dates to 1910-1920s. It is of red clay with blue & geometric slip and glazed over the motto. The cream jug measures 2 7/8 inches high and the motto is Du'ee Be Aisy. The sugar basin measures 3.75 inches in diameter by 2 inches high and the motto reads Du'ee Ave Zum Sugar. This is a wonderful antique mid victorian light brown stoneware pitcher or jug made in the 1870s by Dudson, Staffordshire England.
