The silver plated knife rest has double thistle ends with leaves for support and measure 1.25 inches high by 4.5 inches long and were made in England 1920-1930s. The thistle is the symbol of Scotland and this would be perfect on a tartan tablecloth set for tea with bannocks and marmalade!
