This silver plated sugar sifting spoon was made to commemorate the coronation in 1937 of King George VI and Elizabeth, the parents of the present Queen Elizabeth II of England. Sifting sugar onto muffins, crumpets and pancakes was a popular Victorian tea table ritual. This spoon measures 4.75 inches long. The profiles of their majesties form the spoon's handle finial.
