This is a rare vintage English silver plated figural knife rest of a racing greyhound with a finely detailed racing muzzle and coat with the number 1 made in England in the 1920s. The knife rest or knife holder is 4 inches long and is in very good +++ condition with minor marks to the plate. A wonderful find from our last English buying trip. This is a pair of vintage silver plated sugar tongs made by the famous Elkington and Company, Birmingham England and marked with their date letter for 1930. The sugar tongs measure 4.5 inches long, have spoon ends and a lovely classical design. Elkington and Company was in business from 1842 to 1968 and patented silver electroplating in 1863. This is a fabulous hand painted vintage ceramic sugar shaker, muffineer or sugar caster made by E. Radford (H J Wood) of Staffordshire, England. The shaker has an art deco design of feathery black and grey leaves and red buds. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Sugar shakers or muffineers were a victorian table item used to shake sugar on muffins (hence the name)pancakes or crumpets at the tea table. Shipping in the US by USPS priority insured is $8.90.

This is a lovely bone china jam jar, marmalade or condiment with lid made by Minton, England in the Marlow pattern in the 1980s. This is a wonderful antique french part frosted or satin glass figural fish shape knife rest or knife holder dating to 1890-1915. The fish measures 1 inch high by 3.5 inches long by .5 wide and is marked on the foot Depose YER. Depose was not used in France after 1915. The fish is in excellent, mint condition. This is a J G Meakin, England crescent bone dish or curved salad dish made 1907-1912. The crescent salad or bone dish is a molded ironstone with a sepia transfer or transferware floral with hand painted accents and gold foliage and trim. The crescent dish or bone dish measures .8 inch high by 6.5 inches long by 4 inches wide and is in very good +++ condition. There are no chips or cracks and only very minor gold wear and a few bits of kiln dust which is normal in ironstone of this age.

This is a wonderful antique Regency figural knife rest that I brought back from England recently. The knife rest is silver plated metal and cleaned up very well and has all it's silver plating. The knife rest features 2 upright crested birds that look like cranes or storks or maybe even phoenixes.
