This is an antique pressed glass double knife rest with the pressed mark Val St Lambert Belgique made in Belgium 1900-1920. The knife rest measures 1.5 inches high by 4.25 long by .75 inches wide and has a curver bar and projecting horn like ends. The knife rest or holder is made to take 2 knives and is in very good +++ condition with only a slight roughness from minute chips from use on the base of one end that can't be seen, only felt. This is a dainty pair of victorian English hallmarked sterling silver sugar tongs, sugar nips or saccharine tongs with spoon ends. This set of small tongs is hallmarked for Birmingham, England 1900 with the maker's mark JG. Saccharine tongs or small sugar tongs were used for the artificial sweetner that was quite popular in the late victorian period until being banned in 1911 as a menace to health. I don't know if you would call the pattern pressed into the bottom of this master salt dish I brought home recently from England a leaf or a star. This is a very old master open salt or salt dip, dating to 1890-1910. It measures 3.5 inches by 2.5 inches by 2.75 inches high. It is in very good condition but it does have a small shallow chip on a bottom corner measuring approximately .75 of an inch. You can only see it if you turn the piece over. Otherwise very good. This funny looking thing is a vintage English brass toast fork or toasting fork from the 1890-1920 that I brought home recently from England. The toast fork kitchen gadget is 19.5 inches long and features a 3 dimensional finial of a pixie called the Lincoln Imp. This is an absolutely fabulous and fun vintage sugar shaker, muffineer or sugar caster in the Pixies line of Royal Winton Grimwades, England Relief Molded Ware made 1936-1940s.
