This is an antique English sugar crusher, sugar tamper or the more modern name of muddler made of mouth blown glass in England 1870-1880s. The sugar crusher measures 4.75 inches long and is in very good +++ condition with some surface wear evident. Sugar crushers, or tampers or the more modern name muddler, were used to break up lumps of sugar for better absorption in tea, drinks or cooking. This cute little Friar Tuck line or brown monk or little monk with a red bible hand painted ceramic salt shaker was made by Goebel or Hummel, West Germany. The salt measure 3 inches high with black shoes and has the 3rd mark or 1957-1964 stylized bee. The little monk or Friar Tuck is in very good condition with no cracks and only 2 tiny little chips. This is an absolutely beautiful and unusual large antique leaded crystal faceted oval dumbell knife rest or carving knife rest with a fluted bar. This is an unusual shape, dates to 1880-1900 and I brought it back from England recently. This knife rest has been hand and not machine faceted. The rest measures 6 inches long with 1.5 in diameter faceted oval ends. It has only a few tiny facet chips and is really in excellent condition for it's age. This creamy white stoneware pie vent, pie bird or pie funnel was made by the Nutbrown company of England and has the British Registry date of 1949. The pie funnel or pie vent is 3 inches high by 2.25 inches in diameter and is in excellent condition. The Nutbrown company has been making pie vents in England for 50 years or more. This funny looking thing is a vintage English brass toast fork or toasting fork from the 1890-1920 that I brought home recently from England. The toast fork kitchen gadget is 19.5 inches long and features a 3 dimensional finial of a pixie called the Lincoln Imp. This is a unusual and interesting pair of silver plate sugar tongs or sugar nips that I brought home from England. The sugar tongs are 4 inches long and ends made from a circle of 3 booted feet which is the symbol of the Isle Of Man, an island in the Irish Sea off England. This is an absolutely fabulous and fun vintage sugar shaker, muffineer or sugar caster in the Pixies line of Royal Winton Grimwades, England Relief Molded Ware made 1936-1940s. The ceramic shaker is 5.5 inches high by 3.5 inches wide and features a pixie or elf under a mushroom or toadstool.
