$180.00

This is a fabulous antique cranberry glass hyacinth or bulb vase or jar used to force bulbs to bloom indoors that was made 1880-1900. I bought it in England. It is mouth blown, a rich cranberry color and stands 8.5 inches high with a ground pontil. The glass is about 1/8 inch thick. There are caliper marks to be vaguely seen along the sides. Bulb or hyacinth vases were very popular in the mid to late victorian era because of a fad of interest in botany and growing things indoors in glass houses ...click for details

It is 9.75 inches in diameter and is molded or pressed with beading on the reverse to produce the design. It is in very good condition with one small scallop chip, but no cracks or restorations. A wonderful piece to have & display. It was very difficult to photograph well. Pictures don't show it at it's best. It ...click for details

This is an antique English victorian cased blown art glass pitcher or jug made 1880-1900 in a pale creamy yellow cased with clear glass. The mouth blown pitcher has an applied clear handle that is very organic and a lovely ruffled rim showing off the cased glass. The pitcher measures 7 inches high by 3.5 inches in diameter and has a partially ground pontil. The pitcher has a striated or swirled texture on the outside and is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. A lovely piece of what I ...click for details
