This is a lovely and collectible chintz porcelain tea cup and saucer made by Sandland Ware, Lancaster and Sandland, England in 1953 to commemorate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II of England. This is a candy, sweet, sweetmeat or bon bon dish in the seldom seen Rose Chintz pattern #2487 made 1963-1966 by Shelley China, England. The dish or bowl is in the Dainty shape and measures 1 inch high by 5.25 inches long by 4 inches wide and has pink handles and trim. The dish is in excellent condition and is identified in Shelley Chintz by Kelly Moran as one of the rarest patterns. Absolutely lovely from our last English buying trip.
