This is a Royal Doulton, Lambeth England tobacco jar with original lid made by in 1901-1907 in the Silicon line of matte stoneware with applied rosettes and the pattern X-5387. The pattern was used with different color combinations from 1895-1902 but the Royal Doulton mark with the Royal added only started in 1901 after recognition from Queen Victoria. This is a Thomas Furnival, Furnival's Ltd. Staffordshire, England antique ironstone blue on white transfer or transferware dinner plate in the Denmark pattern made in 1905-1913. The pattern was actually made until 1968 but the mark dates it to the earlier period. The 10 inch in diameter ironstone plate is in very good +++ condition with no chips or cracks and only minor use marks. An older example of a popular pattern.
