This is a wonderful Aesthetic movement of English Arts and Crafts design victorian soft paste tea cup trio consisting of cup, saucer and plate I brought home from England recently. The teacup trio is unmarked and was made 1870-1890 and features a molded body with a pink and yellow sea shell and sea weed design. This wonderful 9 inch in diameter luncheon plate is by George Jones Crescent china of England in an embossed design called Shannon with red or pink transfer and is really beautiful 1900-1920. Besides the heavy floral embossing it has wonderful celtic art nouveau red transferware borders. This carpet ball or carpet bowl is over 100 years old and is of original glazed hard fired clay. The design is an interesting one of white and pink or red plaid. Plaid was a favorite of Queen Victoria. The carpet ball is about 3.5 inches in diameter. It is quite heavy. The condition is very good.
