This is a wonderful antique Regency figural knife rest that I brought back from England recently. The knife rest is silver plated metal and cleaned up very well and has all it's silver plating. The knife rest features 2 upright crested birds that look like cranes or storks or maybe even phoenixes. The knife rest measures 4.75 inches long, 2.5 inches wide, 2 high and has hand made square nots and dates to the Regency period around the Napoleonic wars. This exquisite demitasse tea cup and saucer set is by George Jones Crescent china of England and is of embossed ironstone. It is in the Shannon pattern and is really beautiful. Besides the heavy floral embossing it has wonderful celtic art nouveau green borders. The cup is 2+ inches high by 2.25 in diameter and the saucer is 4.5 in diameter. This is a marvelous bowl in the Viking pattern (similar to Furnival's Denmark) made @1910 by Ridgways pottery Hanley, Staffordshire England of a material called Royal Semi Porcelain--a form of ironsrone. The bowl measures 10.5 inches long including handles by 3.5 inches high by 9 inches in diameter. The casserole bowl is in very good condition with no chips but 1 old faint 1 inch in diameter spider and a few impurities in the clay which is normal for this era. Wish I had a dozen of these!!! This is an absolutely beautiful antique leaded crystal faceted ball ended or dumbell knife rest with a fluted bar. It is quite old, dating to around 1850-1870. This knife rest has been hand and not machine faceted. The rest measures 4.5 inches long with 1.5 in diameter faceted ball ends. This is a dainty pair of victorian English hallmarked sterling silver sugar tongs, sugar nips or saccharine tongs with spoon ends. This set of small tongs is hallmarked for Birmingham, England 1900 with the maker's mark JG. Saccharine tongs or small sugar tongs were used for the artificial sweetner that was quite popular in the late victorian period until being banned in 1911 as a menace to health. This is a wonderful item of victoriana. This is an antique ivory glove stretcher dating 1880-1890s. The glove stretcher measures 8 inches long and has a scissor action pivoting on an internal bone wheel. The action has a tight return and I don't know the mechanics but it works beautifully. This is an old double egg cup measuring 4 inches high made by Mason's of Staffordshire, England in the Vista pattern. It is red transferware ironstone and dates to @1900. The old ones are very difficult to find. It has a lovely floral and pastoral design. It is in very good condition with just one chip on the rim of the larger cup. A great piece.
